Alexandra and Grace joined our families through adoption, but each in a very different way. As their moms, we felt it was important that they know how their "special arrivals" came to be. When Alexandra joined Eve's family, Eve and her husband wrote a special story about her international adoption experience. Lisa and her husband soon adopted Grace, and Lisa followed that example by writing a story for Grace about her open domestic adoption. After sharing the stories with adoption agencies, family and friends, it was realized that this part of the adoption process is often missing. Parents want to be able to share their kids' creation, but do not have the time, resources or patience to sit down and actually put pen to paper. The feedback was so positive that we started "My Creations" personalized stories. Knowing that families are started in many different ways, we also included other special creations such as in vitro and surrogacy. Alexandra and Grace will be able to hold their stories in a special place on their bookshelves and in their hearts.
